During our lives, we grow and develop and change. At 40 years old, I wanted different things than I wanted when I was 20 and at 50, I had different dreams than I had when I was 30.
Life is full of transitions and possibilities.
Many times we find ourselves at a crossroads where we have to make choices that aren’t easy to make. We may experience loss, and at those times we realize we only have one life to live. We wake up.
What is it that matters most to you? What are you passionate about that you’ve neglected or ignored? Are you living according to someone else’s agenda?
What if you:
- Had the courage to live your life true to yourself, not the life others expect of you?
- Could change your relationship with yourself and your dreams and take action toward your goals?
- Were able to try new things instead of holding back, knowing that you can learn?
- Felt confident and safe enough to step out of your comfort zone?
I am a Certified Professional Coach with a doctorate in adult education, which I earned when I was 56. I have been working with adults in transition for more than 35 years. I’ve facilitated the transformation of clients and watched them bloom.
I work with people who are looking for the answers to important questions they have about how to put more meaning into their lives, who want to live their lives with purpose and feel more fulfilled. Many of us have limiting beliefs that prevent us from seeing what’s possible for ourselves.
As a coach, I ask pointed powerful questions to help people find the options they haven’t thought of before. They gain clarity and become more aware so that they can make choices that empower them. I listen and together we find the right path they have been seeking.
For example, I have a client in Cape Cod who was burnt out as a physical therapist. She has a deep need to use her creativity, a yearning she’s had since she was a kid. She was feeling depressed and hopeless before we began working together because she had not addressed that deep need. Today she is pursuing her dream and feels excited and motivated. She has started a business as a stained glass artist and recently sold a piece for $300 at a charity auction. At the event, she was introduced to the manager of a popular annual juried art show on Cape Cod. Impressed by the quality of her work, he told her that she should submit her designs to his art show. She’s on her way and has come alive.
She found that this Paulo Coelho quote to be true for her: “When you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you achieve it.”
On my own journey, I have found that to be true, as well.
